FAQ: Air Conditioners & Cooling Systems
Keeping Your Home Cool and Comfortable, No Matter the Heat.
-
Installation typically takes 4-6 hours for a full system, depending on the complexity. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way to ensure a smooth install.
-
In our humble professional opinion, we believe it is recommended and even necessary. Over time, wear and tear can affect performance, even if the indoor coil seems “fine”, newer outdoor units may not work properly with older coils, leading to potential issues. Even component failure. Replacing both ensures your system runs smoothly and efficiently for years to come.
-
We’ll make sure to recommend the best option for your space, but we’ll always chat with you about what you prefer. Whether it’s on a composite pad, brackets, or patio stone, we just want to make sure everything’s set up for optimal performance.
-
In majority of cases, yes! We’ll assess whether your furnace and ductwork are compatible with your new A/C system, ensuring efficiency and performance.
-
Most of the time, existing ducts are sufficient. However, we may recommend duct modifications or upgrades for better airflow and performance, especially if your home’s system is older.
-
We recommend having your A/C serviced annually, especially before the summer months, to keep it running efficiently and avoid any surprise breakdowns.
-
If the new unit needs a different size lineset (like upgrading from 5/8” to 3/4”), or if it’s using a different refrigerant, we usually prefer to replace it for optimal efficiency—especially if it’s accessible. If the lineset is kinked, damaged, or undersized for the new unit, we’ll definitely replace it. However, if the lineset is in good condition and can be properly flushed, there’s no issue leaving it as is.
-
Most systems come with a 5-10 year warranty on parts, but we’ll provide the full details during the consultation and explain how to register for warranty coverage.

Every installation is different. The price depends on factors like the unit size, efficiency, and the complexity of the installation. Reach out for a custom quote based on your home’s needs.
-
With proper maintenance, most A/C systems last 10-15 years. We’ll help you choose a system that fits your needs and budget for the long term.
-
We assess your home’s layout and ductwork.
The old system is removed, and we install the new unit, ensuring everything is properly sized and hooked up.
We’ll test the system, set the thermostat, and make sure everything is running smoothly before we leave. Expect the whole process to take about 4-8 hours for a typical install.
-
We work quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption. We’ll clean up thoroughly after the job, so you’ll barely notice we were there!
-
Before installation, clear the area around your old system and the installation site. Make sure there’s easy access to your furnace, air handler, or thermostat. We’ll handle the rest.
-
Absolutely. We wear boot covers, lay down drop cloths, and make sure your home stays clean while we work. No tracking dirt through the house, no mess left behind — just solid, respectful work like it should be. We treat your home with respect, leaving it just as we found it — only cooler.
